Stage 5B Excursion - CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope 'Murriyang' site

EXCURSION DETAILS: As part of National Science Week, CSIRO is opening some of its sites to students, including the Parkes Radio Telescope 'Murriyang' site. The visit will be for approximately 2 hours on Wednesday 16th August and includes a tour, talk and Q&A by CSIRO astronomers/members of the operations team. Students will also experience the 3D Theatre and explore the Visitors Centre which includes many interactive elements. All costs will be covered by CSIRO.

Students are required to bring a packed lunch and water.

VENUE: Parkes Radio Telescope 'Murriyang' site

TIME: 9:00am - 1:45pm

WEAR: Full school uniform.

TRANSPORT: Bus, provided by CSIRO
